  yesterday we had a serious conversation with my wife.

  i repeatedly explained her, that never ever i will go in field service as jw, becouase based on facts, i realized, that many of the jw teachings are not true.

  i showed her several logical examples as 1914, 607, 1919 as jw being chosen as the only true by jc, blood issue and some others.. wife: its minor issues.... me: it is not, since for not believing in these anybody could be df and thus sentenced to death.

  Either what they believe now is the truth... or what they believed before was the truth... but both can't be truth.

  A guest: Both is truth .... It was the light before, but now it got brighter.....

  wife: but we have the truth

  me: why do you say so?

  wife: becouse we grew so big..

  me: Mormons and Adventists have started at the same time as JW and they are much bigger now ... So they have more truth?

  wife: But we have assemblies...

  me: Moonites have bigger assemblies...

  wife: but we preach...

  me: other religions also preach, otherwise they would die out....

  wife: OK, BUT ONLY WE PREACH THE TRUTH!

  Did you have similar converstion? How do you deal with it?

  Yes Losthusband, you are right.

  JWs play succesfully with emotions, guilt fear, emotional blackmail ... like all mind controling cults...

  They give you the feeling you became part of something very big, very important ... sharing same values with a big multinational group .... its very emotional...

  When one gets to deep in this, its very very difficult to reason with him....

  I was deeply in for 18 years, it took me several years and big effort to mentally get out ... now I must help my wife and protect my kids...

  well iam serious.... so called fds in brooklyn realized in 1996, that alternative (military) service does not violate bible principles.... i knew it years before!.

  so called fds in brooklyn realized in 1995, that "generation" teaching is nonsense.... i knew it years before!.

  so called fds in brooklyn realized in early 2000, that armageddon is not comming, and its time to downsize the watchtower company .... i knew it years before!.

  Donny, now I see its my fault ...

  I have several more ideas what should be done ... For example:

  • End of the ban on blood transfusions
  • End of shunning
  • Complete removal of 1914 teaching
  • Elders should apologize to all DF due to unscriptural reasons

  OK, OK, I will wait on Jehovah ...

  No.

  Actually I pray only with my wife (still in) and my son (7years) at lunch, because if I would not, she would do it with him without me. I want to be viewed by my son as his spiritual authority to be able to teach him the Real Truth...

  When my son asks me to pray with him before sleep, I pray with him to God and to Jesus ... (according 1 Co 1:2 thats what christians in the 1st c. were doing...)

  Does that mean, that YHWH lets me know ahead what changes should be done?

  Do you also have the feeling, that when NEW LIGHT came, the question was clear to you time before?

  Could it be said, that actually all changes in the WT are just issues for long, long time discussed by apostates and rank-and-file JW.... ???

  So Apostates are faster in bringing NEW LIGHT than FDS???
